Enthusiasm 豫

Yù
energymotivationpreparationharmony

Enthusiasm is thunder rising from the earth as nature wakes. Share your energy and rally people, but prepare well and keep your feet on the ground.

Judgment

Enthusiasm is favorable for appointing helpers and setting armies marching. When you act in tune with people's hearts, the work moves forward by itself.

Image

Thunder echoes as it rises from the earth; this is the picture of enthusiasm. The ancient kings made music to honor virtue and offered it to the Supreme God and the ancestors; the wise person likewise knows the value of what brings people together in a shared feeling.

What does Enthusiasm mean?

Thunder is rising from inside the earth. Winter's sleep is over and nature is waking. A single solid line sets the broken lines around it in motion. This is a time when people gather with excitement around an idea, a person or a goal. You, too, have a new wish, an eagerness or a liveliness that can draw others after you. This liveliness is contagious. When you feel excited, the people around you start moving as well.

Enthusiasm arises on its own when people act in keeping with their nature. It cannot be created by force. Just as music brings people together in one rhythm, a right purpose unites them in the same way. Use this period to prepare, gather your team and get moving. But be careful: enthusiasm can easily turn into arrogance, slackness or empty dreams. Do not spend your excitement on boasting. Do not get swept up blindly in other people's enthusiasm; keep your own center. When you back your eagerness with concrete steps, this liveliness becomes a lasting result. Preparation first, then action. If you gather the power of enthusiasm without scattering it, you will have everything you need to begin something great.

What to do now

Share your enthusiasm, but keep your feet on the ground.

Love and relationships

Excitement and joy are rising in the relationship. Share this feeling by doing things together. But do not make big decisions based only on a passing thrill.

Work and money

A good time to launch a new project, rally people and promote your work. Prepare your team and assign the tasks. Take a second look at any spending made in the heat of excitement.

The lines

If a line changed (red) in your reading, read only that line. Lines are counted from the bottom up.

  1. First line

Announcing your enthusiasm out loud. Boasting about your powerful connections brings misfortune.

  2. Second line

Firm as a rock, not waiting for the day to end. There is good fortune for the one who acts early, without being carried away, and perseveres.

  3. Third line

Enthusiasm that looks upward brings regret. Dawdling while hoping for help from others also brings regret; make your own decision.

  4. Fourth line

The source of enthusiasm. You achieve great things; do not give in to doubt, and friends gather around you as a clasp gathers the hair.

  5. Fifth line

Constantly ill, yet not dying. You are under pressure and enthusiasm does not carry you, yet this very strain keeps you alert and on your feet.

  6. Top line

Deluded enthusiasm. You got carried away, but if you change course once the matter is done, there is no blame.
